Abstract

In this paper, correlation and path coefficient analysis of rice cultivars data has been carried out to determine the nature of relation between grain yield and yield components by partitioning the correlation coefficients between grain yield and its components into direct and indirect effects. In the pathcoefficient analysis, panicle number, panicle weight (g), 1000-grain weight (g), days to 50% flowering and seed to seed days are considered as causal factors and their direct and indirect effects on grain yield are estimated under three experimental trials viz. AVT-2 (BT), AVT-2 (IM) and AVT-2 (ME).
